Just got Oblivionam a bit overwhelmed with the 'beauty' modsHow to choose face re placers and how to figure out how to install themand can I just use wyre bash and boss (which i have and am struggling with comprehending)or do I also need oblivion mod manager and how do these utilities work togetheris there an order in which to run them if you have all three?? First of all, anything that modifies the races (yes, even just adds new hair and eyes) will not stack - the last loaded decides the total properties for the race, it won't just add up like other mods do.I can recommend you get COBL Race and the COBL cosmetics package for a good bundle here - lots of hair and eyes. There is quite some overlap between COBL race/cosmetics and Beautiful People, so only get both if you like special race features from Beautiful People, and load BP first.Enayla and IFT faces can potentially be used WITHOUT.esp - just get them for the textures. As long as the textures are placed in your folders, the game will use them - nice 512x512 resolution facial textures instead of the standard 128x128 and give you neater faces just like that. Since some of them WILL override the same files you'll just have to check out which Orc face you like best, etc., and make sure that is the one you copy into your folder.What else about COBL? If you get all of COBL, you'll find lots more variety to cheese, bread, wines and books - which is fun! Enables a few extra races (xivilai, aureal, mazken, hidden elf, elfy khajiit)'Race balancing' looks pretty interesting I will say.I don't know if that enlightened you a bit.

Installing twenty mods, and going for it. That's NOT a very sound policy - been there, done it.And if you just got Oblivion, I would suggest what I usually suggest: Start with playing it as it is. Adding mods is to alter and develop the game; leave that to a later time.

Jean Racine. Yes yes, Oblivion was made so that you can add mods at any time you want. If you remove a mod, it will say: 'do you wish to load this save file, it depends on contents no longer present and this may cause issues', if you add one it wont say anything. But next time you save, your save file will be updated accordingly. IF IN DOUBT, make a save before changing your mods and don't save over it before you are comfortable with the new mod.
There are many small tricks to mod management you will learn over time, just ask!A FEW mods are badly done and will break your game, so check out the comments section (or the mod's rank) on the site you download it from. It's not often, but there are a few to watch out for. If they delete a reference they will break your save. I only remember it happening from a mod that replaced a village, but deleting the village mess up a number of routines.

Adding beauty mods will NOTIf you want more beautification, maybe look into Robert's male and female bodies, they'll make the skin look better without changing the 'look and feel' of the characters, no ridiculous boobs. Also better looking hands, and joints that bend more realistically. There are other (female) body replacers but to me most of them change the game too much, makes the women look like cartoon bimbos.
