It's much more of an action-RPG than WoW, but it has the quests and professions and exploration like WoW has. It's a pretty easy game, so i strongly suggest starting on the 'Hard' difficulty. You can play on console or PC, but i recommend PC.

I think i've only played Half-Life 2 and the Borderlands games, since the 90s. I like the 'Get Quests/Get Loot' aspect of the game, and the visuals are rad!Warcraft 3 - Last one should be a no-brainer.
But if you haven't played WC3 and the expansion, it's highly recommended! Even if you have, it's worth a replay if it's been a while. I replayed it about a year ago after not having played it since beginning WoW, and i enjoyed the hell out of it! If you don't mind older games, WC2 still holds up fairly well, and WC1 is.
